Shaniwar wada is a masterpiece foundation in the heart of pune city. Built in 1736 by Bajirao I - Several additions were made to the palace like fortification walls with bastions, gates and court halls by his successors. Some portions of the buildings were destroyed in the fire of 1828. We spent few hours in the afternoon on 19th November and find it is a must see place in weekends.How to reach: Easy to reach from anywhere in Pune. Nearby places are PMC and Laxmi road.
